Wild Church Nature Walks

Bergamo Center for Lifelong Learning

4400 Shakertown Rd
Dayton OH 45430

Our next gathering will be July 23

If you like to explore nature with others, join us for these special gatherings where you can slow down, renew your spirit, refresh your body and expand your mind. These gatherings are facilitated by Marcia Florkey and Beth Vanoli. We begin with a liturgy of poetry and readings, followed by a time of Centering Prayer. The “homily" is our soul in conversation with the Divine, each in our own way—sauntering* the Labyrinth, the Stations of the Cross, or around the grounds and nature trails, gathering back together for a time of sharing.

What you need to bring:

  • This is an outside event, dress appropriately. Wear sturdy walking shoes, etc.

  • Bring a lawn chair to put in a circle as we gather.

  • If you have a favorite poem or reading that you want to share relating to a nature theme, you are welcome to bring it.

  • Journal (optional)

  • We will collect a donation for Bergamo (optional).

Friends and family are welcome!

*Sauntering is a contemplative practice of wandering slowly and intentionally in an act of reverence.
