Bishop Gregory Palmer

Bishop Gregory Vaughn Palmer serves as the episcopal leader of the Ohio West Area of The United Methodist Church. His pastoral career includes student pastorates in North Carolina and post-seminary appointments in the East Ohio Conference in Cleveland, Canton and Berea. He also served as superintendent of the Youngstown District of the East Ohio Conference. Bishop Palmer was elected to the episcopacy by the North Central Jurisdictional Conference in 2000.

Rev. Fred Shaw

Rev. Fred Shaw retired as the senior pastor of the Oxford United Methodist Church in 2010 after serving in the West Ohio Conference for 41 years.  His heritage is of the Shawnee. Fred is the chair of the Native American ministerial plan of the UMC.  He retired for a second time in 2021 after directing a national school for American Indian United Methodist pastors who maintain their cultural heritages.
